Inventory your successes. We tend to dwell on our failures and overlook our successes. All of the successful moments you have had in life make you a successionaire. You have built up those skills over the years by doing things right, so there’s no reason you can’t do them again.


If you don’t believe me, look in the mirror. The person staring back at you is someone who has been successful at a lot of things. You’ve been breathing by yourself for years; that’s not easy. You’ve walked and talked for years; that’s not easy either. You’ve survived bad relationships and terrible jobs (I know I have) and have figured out how to pay your bills each month (if not all of them).


You’ve done it all before, so there’s no reason you can’t do it again. But first you need to take inventory of all your past successes, even the small ones, and then take a few minutes to appreciate how far you’ve come in life.




The drift is a powerful force that can take over your life without you even knowing it.


Drifting happens slowly, almost unnoticeably. It’s when you slowly stop working on your goals and start doing the things that don’t really matter in life.


Drifting feels good at first because you’re not totally giving up on your dreams. You’re still doing something that might move you closer to achieving them, but it’s just not enough.


You lack the discipline and urgency required to make real progress, so after a while, you don’t even notice yourself drifting away from what matters most to you.


Achieving your goals takes work. It requires making sacrifices, dedicating time and energy to the things that matter most, and being willing to do the things others aren’t in order to achieve success.


It’s easy to drift through life because it doesn’t require any effort or discomfort from us. No one judges us for just going with the flow or following the masses — society actually encourages us to do so!



The Mind 


When you want to go after your goals, you need to understand that the mind is the most powerful tool you’ll ever have. Everything you do or don’t do in your life is controlled by your thoughts. There’s a popular saying that goes like ‘whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are right’. This means that if you think that something is impossible, then it will be impossible for you to achieve it but on the other hand if you believe that achieving something is possible and within your reach, then it won’t matter how difficult it may seem because with determination and perseverance, nothing will stop you from achieving it.


The Distance


“It’s not just the efforts but the distance that sets us apart” 


Your efforts are important but the distance you are willing to go will set you apart. There is one thing that I have seen in common with all successful people, they are all willing to go the extra mile.


I’ve come to realize that if someone wants something bad enough they can get it. They just need a plan and a focus. The problem is that most people aren’t willing to put in that extra effort or go the extra mile because it is not comfortable.


I have found that it doesn’t take any more effort to do this. You just have to make a decision and stick to it no matter what others say or think about you. In fact, once you start getting results and accomplishing your goals others will be amazed at how easy you made it look.


So what does it take? It takes getting up earlier than everyone else; even when you don’t want too. It means working harder than everyone around you when you would rather be doing something else. It means making sacrifices for the long term greatness instead of giving into the immediate gratification of something else.


It takes courage, determination, and persistence. These things are not easy but are necessary for success. 


The Fight 


Life is going to throw things our way, it’s up to you to stay in the fight and continue to fight for what you want in life. So many people give up so quickly and never experience what it’s like on the other side of the struggle. If you have been working hard towards a goal and you feel like it’s just not happening, chances are that if you keep going, you will achieve your goal.


Your journey may not be easy but nothing great ever comes easy!


You might be having a bad week or even a bad month but I am here to tell you that it will get better. There may be days where you feel like giving up but don’t let those days win. A lot of times if we can push through the things that make us uncomfortable, we can find peace on the other side of the storm.


If something has been on your mind and your heart is telling you that it’s something that you should do, go out there and do it. Don’t let fear stop you from doing things that could improve your life or bring happiness into your life. The life that I’m living now is nothing like what I thought my life would look like five years ago, so don’t limit yourself when it comes to your dreams, fight!



The Execution


We have a tendency in our society to celebrate the big dreamer and often we do this at the expense of the person who is doing the hard work of execution.


The reason for this is that we pay attention to those on the extremes – the very successful, or those who have failed spectacularly. They are the outliers.


To me, a dream without execution is simply a wish – something you hope for but know deep down will never happen.


I believe that dreams are nothing if you aren’t willing to do the hard work it takes to execute on them. I’m not saying that ambition isn’t important, because it is. You shouldn’t sell yourself short and limit your thinking, but you should make sure when you set out to accomplish something your ambitions are equal to your execution.


The Edge 


Having an edge of confidence is the driving force behind many achievements and goals that we set.


It’s often being said that having self-confidence is all you need to be successful and happy in life. And it’s true, but not in the way you might think. Having confidence is not the same as being arrogant or narcissistic – it actually has to do with how we feel about ourselves.


Knowing yourself inside out, and accepting both your strengths and weaknesses, makes you a confident person. These kinds of people are not afraid to face challenges, because they know who they really are.



The Attack


Attack your goals with a healthy aggression, an obsession, and the type of persistence that would make any person proud. This is what it takes to truly succeed in life.


And no matter how hard you work, there will always be someone out there who’s smarter than you, more talented than you, or works harder than you. But none of that matters if you refuse to give up.


You will fail at times. You will lose at times. But if you get back up and keep moving forward, you’ll always find success in the end.


So why not go after things like your life depended on it? Why not become obsessed with and dedicated to the goals that you set for yourself? Why not attack those goals until they’re met?


When you do, the results are nothing short of amazing.
